Export a node package to share with a colleague

Export a package to save it as a .package.zip file you can share, back up, or import into another Fusion installation.

You can only export editable (user-created) packages. The public packages (Base, System, Design, Manufacture) can't be exported.

Export using the File menu

  1. On the graph canvas, click File menu file icon and select Export package.

    The Export package dialog opens.

  2. In the Name box, confirm or edit the export name. The box is pre-filled with the package name and version in the format PackageName-Version (for example, MyPackage-1.0.0).

  3. Click Export.

    The Save As dialog opens.

  4. Browse to the folder where you want to save the file and click Save.

The file is saved as PackageName-Version.package.zip (for example, MyPackage-1.0.0.package.zip).

Export using the right-click menu

  1. In the Library, right-click the name of the package you want to export under User packages.

  2. Select Export.

The Export package dialog opens. Continue from step 2 in the File menu procedure above.
