Import a package

Import a package to add new nodes to System Modeler. Packages are distributed as .package.zip files.

You need a .package.zip file. To verify the format, export one of your own packages first. The resulting zip shows the expected folder structure.

  1. On the graph canvas, click File menu file icon and select Import package.

    The Import package dialog opens.

  2. Click Select files and select the .package.zip file.

    The dialog shows the selected filename. The package ID and version are read from the archive. You can't change them during import.

  3. Click Import.

    The package is loaded into System Modeler and appears under User packages in the Library.

Note: The .package.zip file must contain a package.manifest file at the root of the archive. If the structure is incorrect, Fusion displays an error and the import fails. Export an existing package to see the expected archive layout before importing.
