Merge reverse inspections to form a single inspection in Info360 Asset that we can use to calculate the pipe's condition.
Reverse inspections may occur when a pipe CCTV inspection has to be abandoned in one direction (e.g., due to a blockage) and another inspection is carried out beginning at the other end of the pipe.
To merge two inspections, they must meet the following criteria:
(or Asset ID, or Conduit ID, depending on the standard)
To merge two reverse inspections:
A new merged inspection is created in Approved status and with the same Inspection ID as the original Upstream Inspection but suffixed with '_merged'. The two original inspection IDs can be referenced in Details Notes and the Properties are taken from the original upstream inspection.
On the Observations tab of the new merged inspection, the observations are listed in the correct order and at the correct distance (upstream to downstream). Continuous defects are also reversed and renamed where appropriate.
All media are available and both videos are included in the media player. When clicking on an observation, the player will jump to the timestamp in the relevant video.
The surveyed length is the sum of the two original inspections.
It is the ratings and grades from the new merged inspection that will be displayed on the pipe asset details page, drawn on the map, and made available for use in risk models and rehabilitation decision trees.
The status of the two original inspections will be set to Superseded and the only action possible for these is Delete.
