MDSX File Format

MDSX files contain information about the site and the pipe network contained within the site.  Due to the similarity between MDSuDS and InfoDrainage mostly everything from MDSuDS can be directly mapped or converted to relevant InfoDrainage objects. See the list below for a guide of what will be converted and what it converts to as well as what will be deleted.

Converted Items

Lateral Inflow → Maps to lateral inflow inlet type now located on the Stormwater Control it was connected to.

Point Inflow → Maps to point inflow inlet type now located on the Stormwater Control it was connected to.

Rainwater Tank → Maps to the rainwater tank property located on the inflow or converted to a point inflow inlet type on the Stormwater Control its connected to.

Any Outlet → Maps to the equivalent outlet type located on the Stormwater Control it was connected to.

User Defined Stormwater Control → Maps to the Pond Stormwater Control (Name and icon will be persisted).

Deleted Items

Connections will be deleted if they:

• Connect a rainwater tank, point inflow or lateral inflow inlet directly to an inflow.
• Connect an inlet or outlet to a Stormwater Control.
• Connect an inlet to an outlet without an associated Stormwater Control connected.

All Rainfall including increase rainfall is removed.

Any unconnected inlet or outlet will be deleted.
