Select - Use this command to select an element in order to highlight graphically or to view, update, or modify the element data in the model.
The selection can additionally be filtered to select elements, by a domain, by individual element types (pump, valve, pipe, etc.) and to select all elements.
Search by ID - Initializes the search by ID command where you can type in either a unique ID or description to search and locate any facility. By using the Category button, you can change the type of facility to search and locate.
Locate Active Link/Node - Once you use the "Search by ID" feature, clicking this icon will cause InfoWater Pro to zoom to the node or link made active in the Model Explorer - Attribute Tab.
Open Default - When this icon is clicked, a dialog box will open to allow you to set the default values that will be used for any new facility elements of that type. (Note : To save these values, click Save Default.)
Save Default - When this icon is clicked, the data related to the current node or link will be saved to a temporary file. Any node or link added to the InfoWater Pro project after this point will inherit the data as saved in the temporary file until the default is overwritten or you end the edit session.
Reset - Reverts any changes the current record its previous state at the time of the last save operation. Once a save operation is performed, any changes made to the current record will become permanent.
Delete - Deletes the current element.
Report - Initializes the Output Report Manager for the selected data element. Scroll down the output report to see the model results for the selected ID.
Graph - Initializes the Output Report Manager and graphs the currently selected data element. Use the drop-down box at the top of the Output Report Manager dialog box to change the graph output. In a steady state model, this icon will only work on pumps.
Hotlinks - Hot links enable you to attach an external file to a model element to be viewed at a later time. A hot-linked file may contain a photograph of the element, a work order history sheet, a cost spreadsheet or a raster image of a construction drawing.
Stored Graphs - Stored graphs enable you to recall previously saved graphs. When this is clicked, InfoWater Pro will open the Stored Graph dialog box.
Tools Menu - Displays the Model Explorer- Attribute Tab's tool menu. The Tool menu is element sensitive and changes depending on the type of element displayed.
ID Counter - Use this to specify the ID options, as shown below:
Back - Displays the previous element in the Model Explorer - Attribute Tab's history list of elements.
Forward- Displays the next element in the Model Explorer - Attribute Tab's history list of elements.
Clear History - Clears all of the history for the current element.
Initial Status - Allows you to change the initial status (none, closed, open, setting) for the selected link. For a steady state model, the initial status controls whether a pipe is to be opened or closed during the simulation. For an EPS, use the Control button adjacent to the Initial Status button to create a Simple Control. For more advanced control logic (if, then, else) statements, use a Rule Based Control. To set the initial status on a group of links, use the Group Editing on Selection icon and select the Link Status tab. Note: This toolbar button is data aware. If initial status is set to anything other than None, the button appears deactivated.
Control - This icon will initiate the Control Data dialog box where you can apply control statements to the model which control the status of data elements during a hydraulic simulation. Note: This toolbar button is data aware. If a control is available for this element, the button appears deactivated.
Variable Speed Pump Control - Implicit Variable Speed Pump Controls is used to control pump speed based on pump discharge pressure, pump flow, or remote junction pressure.
Remote Valve Control - This icon will initiate the Remote Valve Control dialog box where you can apply control statements for PSV/PRV valves.
Reaction Coefficient/Tank Reaction Data - This icon allows you to enter a reaction rate coefficient that may differ from the global bulk reaction rate coefficient as specified in a water quality analysis. If the element selected is a pipe, you can change both the bulk coefficient and the wall coefficient. For tanks, only the bulk coefficient is applicable. To set the reaction data for a group of links or tanks, use the Group Editing on Selection icon and select the Tank Reaction or Pipe Quality tabs.
Initial Water Quality - Allows you to enter an initial water quality for the specified junction node or tank. To set the initial water quality for a group of nodes, use the Group Editing on Selection icon and select the Initial Quality tab.
Water Quality Source - This feature is used to assign the selected tank or node as a source point for a water quality constituent (e.g., a chlorine booster station or water treatment plant). To set a group of nodes or tanks as being quality source nodes, use the Group Editing on Selection icon and select the Quality Source tab.
The following Model Explorer - Attribute Tab toolbar buttons from previous versions are now available from the Tools Menu button.
Fire flow - This icon allows you to assign a base fire-flow demand to the selected junction node. Fire-flow demands are stored in their own database and can be saved and later recalled as a Fire flow Set. To assign a common fire flow demand to a group of nodes, use the Group Editing on Selection icon and select the Fire flow tab.
Emitter - This icon allows you to model the selected node as an emitter (an element that represents flow through a nozzle or orifice that discharges to the atmosphere). You are then prompted to type in a Flow (discharge) Coefficient that is usually supplied by the nozzle manufacturer. To set the flow coefficient for a group of nodes, use the Group Editing on Selection icon and select the Emitter tab.
Tank Mixing Data - Fixed volume storage tanks within a water system possess mixing properties that can affect total water quality. This icon allows you to assign the type of mixing experienced at a storage tank to accurately represent actual field conditions. The options are CSTR, 2 Compartment, FIFO and LIFO.
Energy Pattern - This icon allows you to assign an energy price pattern or an energy price and a demand charge pattern for the selected pump.
Energy Efficiency - Clicking this icon initializes the Energy Efficiency dialog box which allows you to specify the type of curve and speed setting assigned to the pump.
SCADA Measurement - The SCADA measurement icon initializes the SCADA Link/Node Measurement dialog box which allows you to assign a meter reference ID to the SCADA output file, specify the flow or pressure units, meter scaling factor, and the alarm limits for the specified facility.
SCADA Configuration - Initializes the SCADA Configuration dialog box for pumps or tanks. This allows you to further define parameters as issued from the SCADA system for pumps and tanks.
