Autodesk Licensing with InfoWater Pro

Autodesk Licenses

All features and functionalities are available with an Autodesk license, as well as all InfoWater Pro software application.

Tip The type of license you are currently using is displayed in the InfoWater Pro  About Box while the license number is listed in the Additional Information window.  

Autodesk License Menu

The Autodesk License menu is available in the About Box of the InfoWater Pro, as shown below. Choose Manage License to manage your Autodesk license.

Note: When a trial license is used, an indicator will appear in the Autodesk License menu specifying the remaining days before the license expires. This information is also displayed in the start up dialog.

Clicking the  Change license type  link displays the  Autodesk   Let's Get Started window (see below), which you can use to switch Autodesk  accounts.

Clicking the What's my license type? link displays the Autodesk What's my license type? window (see below), which you can use to select your Autodesk license type.

Sign in and out of Autodesk

Signing into your Autodesk account allows your license to be verified so that you can use InfoWater Pro.

When you start InfoWater Pro for the first time, or choose the  Manage  License  option from the  Autodesk   License  menu and click on its  Change license type link , the  Autodesk   Let's Get Started  window is displayed:

If you have already created an Autodesk account, click the  Sign in with your  Autodesk  ID button to log into your account with your Autodesk email address, as shown below.

Otherwise, click the Select  button to register your product. Follow the instructions displayed on your screen to register your product and set up your Autodesk account. You can then sign in as described in Signing in with your  Autodesk  ID.

Signing in with your Autodesk ID

You will be asked to sign into your Autodesk account if you have:

To sign in to your Autodesk account:

  1. In the Sign in window:

    Enter the email address or Autodesk ID that you use for your Autodesk account into the Email box.

    If you do not have an Autodesk account, click the  CREATE ACCOUNT link to add your credentials and then try again. Enter your information in the provided fields, select the I agree to Autodesk Terms of Use checkbox, and click Create Account.

  2. Click NEXT. The following window is displayed:
  3. Enter the password for your Autodesk account into the Password box. If you have forgotten your password, click the  FORGOT  link to reset it. You can then sign in again using your new password.
  4. Click SIGN IN. Your credentials and license will be checked. When verified, the window closes and you can start working with InfoWater Pro.

If you are unable to sign in to Autodesk, contact your System Administrator to ensure that a license and/or Autodesk account have been set up for you or contact  Autodesk  support  if further help is required.

Signing out

To sign out of your Autodesk account:

  1. Select the  Sign out and Quit  option in the Autodesk License menu.

  2. Select the  Continue  button to sign out of your Autodesk account and close InfoWater Pro.

Tip Use the  Exit  option in the  File  menu if you only want to exit InfoWater Pro but not sign out of your Autodesk account. The next time you start InfoWater Pro, you will not be required to sign into your Autodesk account.
