This feature is used to assign the selected tank or node as a source point for a water quality constituent (e.g., a chlorine booster station or water treatment plant). To set a group of nodes or tanks as being quality source nodes, use the Group Editing command and select the Quality Source tab. Click here to learn more about water quality simulations.
Type - A water quality source can be designated as a concentration or booster source.
Select from the following:
- Concentration: Fixes the concentration of any external inflow entering the network, such as flow from a reservoir or from a negative demand placed at a junction.
- Mass Booster: Adds a fixed mass flow to the flow entering the node from other points in the network.
- Flow Paced Booster: Adds a fixed concentration to the resulting flow from the mixing of all inflow to the node from other points in the network.
- Setpoint Booster: Fixes the concentration of any flow leaving the node (as long as the concentration resulting from all inflow to the node is below the setpoint).
Baseline Concentration - Baseline or average concentration (or mass flow rate per minute) of source – leave blank to remove the source.
Concentration Pattern - ID label of concentration pattern used to make source quality vary with time – leave blank if not applicable.
Purge - Use the Purge button to erase the data associated with this entity.
Create - Click the Create button to save any changes or additions and exit.
Cancel - Click the Cancel button to exit without saving changes
