This feature is used to assign the selected node (reservoir, tank, or junction with negative demand) as a source point for a water quality constituent (e.g., a chlorine booster station or water treatment plant). If no explicit source is defined, a default Concentration source with a baseline value of zero is utilized. Source Trace analyses ignore or override any defined quality sources.
To set a group of nodes or tanks as quality source nodes, use the Group Editing command and select the Quality Source tab. Learn more about Water Quality simulations.
Type - A water quality source can be designated as a concentration or booster source.
Select from the following:
Baseline Concentration - Baseline or average concentration (or mass flow rate per minute) of source – leave blank to remove the source.
Concentration Pattern - ID label of concentration pattern used to make source quality vary with time – leave blank if not applicable.
Purge - Use the Purge button to erase the data associated with this entity.
