Get answers and guidance
Ask the Assistant how to accomplish tasks, find features, or understand workflows. The Assistant provides clear, concise guidance to help you learn and work faster.
Examples of what you can ask:
- Summarize the demand, pressure, and leakage per pressure zone
- How many junctions with COMMERCIAL demand experience pressure below 40?
- Add the top 10 pipes with the most head loss per foot to the domain.
- How do I add leakage into my model while keeping it calibrated?
- Why is valve V-123 not regulating flow the way I expect?
- Re-run my model and apply the pressure Map Theme.
- Help me write a python script to export pump flow totals and runtime to CSV.
Additional capabilities with Tech Preview
Tech Preview gives you early access to additional Autodesk Assistant capabilities. You can choose to use Tech Preview when you first open Autodesk Assistant in your product. Feature availability may change as capabilities move in or out of Tech Preview.

Even if you do not see additional capabilities right now, keeping Tech Preview on means you will get new capabilities as soon as they are available for your Autodesk product.
The following MCP capabilities are included in InfoWater Pro 2027 onwards:
- Manage Map Themes — The Assistant can list available map themes and apply them when requested.
- Run Model — If asked, the Assistant can re-run your model with the latest changes.
- Run python scripts — If you want custom reports or visuals but are not a developer, try asking the assistant. It has been trained on our
helpfile content and our
open source Github repo to assist with writing, editing, and troubleshooting python scripts that can be run from within ArcGIS Pro.
The following MCP capabilities are added in InfoWater Pro 2027.1:
- Read-only access to model data and results - The assistant can query your model data and results to provide summary reports, selections, and assist with troubleshooting. The assistant can see any data shown in the Model Explorer panel, including current and summary results, while timeseries results and alternate scenarios are not yet available.
- Domain Management - The assistant can add and remove objects from the domain based on data it can query.
Important: Model data and MCP tools are all local within InfoWater Pro. Only the select outputs of queries are passed to the AI LLM for context in responding to user prompts. Please refer to our Trust and Privacy page to learn more:
