Create Hub and Activate Subscription

To activate your Info360 Cloud Model Service subscription, you must create a hub. A hub is a specific Info360 instance for your team. It is where your data is stored and shared between users.

Before you can create a hub and activate your subscription:

Note: If you have already created a hub for your team for another product subscription, you do not need to create another hub. The new product subscription will be activated automatically.

To create a hub and activate your subscription:

  1. Sign in to Autodesk Account (manage.autodesk.com).
  2. In the left panel, select All Products and Services.
  3. Locate Info360 Cloud Model Service and select Access.

The Create hub and activate Info360 window appears.

  4. Select the Team. By default, you automatically have one team in your Autodesk Account under which all your users and Autodesk subscriptions fall. For more information, see Manage teams.
  5. Enter a name for the hub. For example, your company name.
  6. Under Advanced Options, select the region where your data should be hosted.
  7. Select Create.

Your subscription is now activated, and the hub will be available to users in your team.

You will now be directed to the Info360 Model Management page.

Note: You may need to assign users to InfoWater Pro, if you have not already done so.

Cloud databases are created in InfoWater Pro and managed from Info360 Model Management. Therefore there will be no data to manage in Info360 Model Management until a database has been created in InfoWater Pro.

Connecting to a hub and running cloud simulation in InfoWater Pro

Once the hub has been activated by the admin, InfoWater Pro users can connect to the hub and start running simulations in the cloud.

To connect to a hub:

  1. Open the About window from the InfoWater Pro ribbon.
  2. Click the Info360 Hub button.
  3. Select the hub from the drop-down menu and press Connect.

To run simulations in the cloud:

  1. Open the Run Manager.
  2. Change the Run Mode to "Cloud" from the drop-down menu towards the bottom of the Run Manager window.
Note: Running simulations in the cloud offers parallelization which can greatly speed up fireflow runs and some batch runs, but it will not speed up all runs. Single runs, and smaller runs tend to run faster locally since they do not require upload and download of data.
