To create a local copy of a cloud model or a duplicate copy of a local model

You can Duplicate an existing cloud model, which creates a local, disconnected copy of that model. You can also duplicate a local model to create a copy.

As a best practice it is recommended to follow this procedure before deleting a cloud model and its cache, so that you can preserve a local copy of the cloud model.

  1. With the model you want to duplicate open, click utilities glyph duplicate (Duplicate) to duplicate the cloud model.

Note: Alternatively, from InfraWorks Home, hover over the model tile with your cursor, click the ellipses and select Duplicate Model.
  2. When prompted, click the ellipses to browse and choose a local directory or mapped network drive to store the local, disconnected copy of the cloud model.

  3. Click OK.

Note: You can re-connect this disconnected local copy of your cloud model by publishing it to an Autodesk Docs project. See To publish a local model to the cloud.
