Display all buildings, whether imported or sketched, with a single color and a uniform appearance.
In some cases, a real-world visualization may obscure information an engineer or architect wants to highlight. For example, you may want to show the shapes of buildings, but with plain color (like white) instead of using their facade and roof materials. This presentation allows other details, such as a proposed transportation corridor, to be the predominant visual.
There are two options for overriding the color of model assets. You can use one method or both methods, depending on your model data.
Click Manage Model to open the Model Explorer.
Under Structures, for Buildings, right-click, and click Select All.
On the Type panel of the Stack, set the following properties to white or another color you choose:
You can also right-click a single asset in the model and override the colors if you don't want to change all assets at once.
Click .
Select the Model Generation tab.
Select Facade Brightness.
Click to regenerate the model.
Optionally, you can use the Sun & Sky options to display shadows, as desired.
