To add a material style

You can add a texture or color swatch to a style catalog as a material style. Materials are tiled over the surface of the object to which they are applied.

  1. Click Manage glyph Content glyph style palette(Style Palette).

  2. Click the Material tab on the left side of the Style Palette.

  3. From the style catalog list, select the catalog for the new style.

  4. In the Style Editing area (at the bottom of the palette), click add (Add a New Style to the Current Catalog Above).

  5. Indicate whether the material will be a solid color or use a texture map.

For colors, enter the hexadecimal value representing the color, or click Browse and navigate to the file representing the color.

The supported color format is <xRRGGBB(AA)> or <#RRGGBB(AA)> with R, G, B, and A being the hexadecimal representations of the red, green, blue, and alpha channels of the color. The definition of the alpha channel is optional. It defaults to FF, which is fully opaque.

  6. Indicate the width and height if a texture map is used.

  7. Set the Texture Coordinate Anchor settings (TexCoord Anchor), if desired.

For more information regarding these settings, refer to Edit Styles.

  8. When you are finished, click OK in the Style Editor.

The style thumbnail appears in the catalog. Click in the name area to rename it.
