To import parcels, easements, and right of ways

Import files containing data that specifies existing parcels, easements, and right of ways (RoWs). You specify the data type: Parcel, Easement, Right of Way. Model Explorer lists these assets under Area of Interest.

For an SHP or SDF file containing a mix of types, choose Parcel. Later, in canvas, from the right-click menu, you can convert individual Parcel features to type Easement or Right of Way.

1. Follow the general data import instructions.
2. Double click the data source entry in the Data Sources panel.
3. Select the type from the pull-down menu: Parcel, Easement, or Right of Way.
4. (Optionally) Specify a Rule Style. Initially, the feature displays a default style. You can change the style from the Stack Panel.
5. Click OK and refresh the model.
