About Annotations for Tunnels

InfraWorks displays in-canvas labels of tunnel and tunnel segment dimensions depending on your selection and view position.

Tunnel dimension labels are not editable in-canvas, but provide information and visual feedback to help in modifying and reviewing the overall tunnel design. You can modify the corresponding tunnel component dimensions in the Stack. If you need more information about a specific dimension label, hover over the corresponding value in the Stack to view a tooltip with more information.

Depending on your selection and viewport position, the model will display values for:

Similar to how labels for component roads function in InfraWorks, tunnels dimension labels are dynamic, and also respond to your zoom level. If you modify the value for a tunnel or tunnel segment dimension in the Stack, the corresponding label value will update in-canvas. Additionally, when you are zoomed-out too far from the selected tunnel or tunnel segment, you will not see any dimension labels. Simply zoom-in to view the dimension labels again.

Note: Units of measurement displayed in the dimension labels correspond to the units of measurement you specify in Application Options.

To hide tunnel labels: with the road selected, right-click and uncheckmark Show Road Geometry. Note that this option also hides the road manipulators for editing horizontal and vertical geometry. To show dimensions again, checkmark Show Road Geometry. If annotations do not display when you check Show Road Geometry for a selected component road, you need to turn On the control, In-Canvas Labels, from the Interactions Settings menu of the high-level Visualization menu. In-Canvas Labels controls the default display (or hiding) of annotations and other labels in the current, high-level view: engineering view or conceptual view. You can set the default differently for each type of view.
