Bearing Parameter Reference

The bearing parameters specify the height and positioning of the bearings respective of the girders and piers of the assembly.

Parameter Description Content Parameter Parametric Value InfraWorks Set/Read Inventor Revit
* Overall assembly height BearingAssemblyHeight The total height of the bearing. Yes/No No Not applicable
* Extra height ExtraHeight The additional distance required to stretch the bearing so it fits in the gap between the girder and pier. No/Yes No Not applicable
* Girder soffit logitudinal slope GirderSoffitLongiSlope The required girder soffit slope angle in the longitudinal direction (the Y-axis of the part). No/Yes No Not applicable
* Girder soffit transverse slope GirderSoffitTransSlope The required girder soffit slope angle in the lateral direction (the X-axis of the part). No/Yes No Not applicable
* Pier cap logitudinal slope PierCapLongiSlope The required pier cap slope angle in the longitudinal direction (the Y-axis of the part). No/Yes No Not applicable
* Pier cap transverse slope PierCapTransSlope The required pier cap slope angle in the lateral direction (the X-axis of the part). No/Yes No Not applicable
Note: The single asterisk "*" indicates that a parameter is a geometry parameter that is required, and has been marked as a 'key' parameter in Autodesk Inventor.

Vertical Placement

Each bearing must set to the total height of the bearing. This value creates enough space for the bearing between its girders and supports. If the top surface of a support, and the aggregate bottom surface of the girders above are not parallel, then it is not possible to make all the gaps between them exactly. One bearing below a girder is specified with the Overall assembly height parameter. Remaining girders will adjust with the Extra height parameter.

Top and Bottom Slopes

Bearings also possess slopes to align the tops and bottoms of the bearing within the assembly.
