Edit Vertical Geometry

Modify the vertical profile of a component road.

You can edit the vertical geometry of a component road in any of the following ways:

Drag Manipulators

Select a component road and pitch the model to display the road at an angle. Use manipulators on the line to modify the elevation, station, and grade at various points.

Enter or Select Values

Click a manipulator to display toolbars for values such as grade, station, and elevation.

Add and Remove PVIs

Right-click to add or remove a PVI from the current location.

Examine and Edit in Profile View

The Profile View panel displays the vertical geometry in profile. You can quickly scan the station and elevation of the vertical geometry elements, view cross-section, cut/fill, and assembly views of your road stations, add and edit PVIs, and quickly navigate between elements in the Profile View panel and the road object in canvas.
