Incorporate these best practices to streamline your Revit to Live experience.

Transforming your Revit project into a .lvsc file can be a time consuming and complex process. If the processing time exceeds 5 hours, the job will fail. However, there are several things you can do to increase Live Service's performance and lessen the chance that your job will fail to process, specifically by reducing model and topography size.

In Revit:

• Use a section box to reduce topography and model size by trimming non-essential portions of your model.
  Note: A large terrain alone can take more than 1 hour to process.
• Hide elements in the 3D view that won't be visible in Live, such as ones that are hidden in walls, ceilings, and floors.
• Hide elements in the 3D view that are not essential to your Live experience, such as electrical outlets and very detailed objects.
• Don't load non-essential linked files.
• Divide the model into rooms or areas of interest by creating multiple 3D views using section boxes and then create an individual .lvsc file for each. This will reduce processing time greatly, while still allowing you to easily switch between rooms/areas.
• Limit the number of views (cameras) you select in Revit.
• Limit the number of lights.
