Materials Database Component

The Moldflow Materials Database is a standalone shareable component that is included with your Moldflow product and installs automatically alongside it. The database contains all the information about the properties of more than 13,000 different plastics. Material testing and data-fitting services can characterize specific grades or blends that are not currently in the database. The materials database is updated regularly to provide you with latest material properties information, and you can install the updates indendently of the Moldflow product updates.

Accurate data is crucial for obtaining precise simulation results. Since different grades of the same material can have different properties, selecting the incorrect grade for an analysis can significantly impact the quality of the results. With the Moldflow Materials Database, you can access a wide range of materials and their corresponding properties, ensuring accurate and reliable simulation results.
