Deleting a keyset is removing the keyset from animated objects without saving the keyset to the keys clipboard.
Note: There is no
deleteKeys MEL command. The related MEL command for deleting keys is
cutKey -clear.
To set
Delete Keys options
- From the
Key menu, select
.
- In the
Delete Key Options window, do one of the following:
- Click
Delete Keys to set the
Delete Keys
options and delete the current key(s).
- Click
Apply to set the
Delete Keys
options and delete the current key(s).
- Click
Close to disregard any changes made to the
Delete Keys options and close the
Delete Keys Options window.
To delete keys
- Do one of the following:
- To select a single key, click the key in the
Time Slider.
The Current Time Indicator moves to the clicked position and the key is now selected.
- To select multiple keys, Shift-drag over the range of keys in the
Time Slider. See also To delete a custom range of keys,
To ripple-delete a custom range of keys and
To delete only unsnapped keys (subframes) in this topic.
The range of keys is now selected and highlighted in red.
- Do one of the following:
- Right-click the key and select
Delete from the pop-up menu that appears.
- Select
.
If
Time Range-All is active in the
Delete Keys
options, all keys for the current object are deleted. If
Time Range-Start/End is on in the
Delete Keys
options, only keys between the specified
Start and
End times are deleted. If
Time Range-Time Slider is on in the
Delete Keys
options, only the keys between the Range Slider’s
Start and
End times are deleted.
- Shift + S, click and select
Delete Keys from the marking menu that appears.
To delete a custom range of keys
- In the
Graph Editor Keys menu, select
Remove Key >
Before Current Frame,
After Current Frame or
Outside Selected Range >
to open the options window.
- In the options window set a range for the deletion. You can also choose
All to remove every key.
To ripple delete a custom range of keys
Ripple deletion removes keys between the range set in the Ripple Delete >
options, and closes the gap created by the deletion.
- In the
Graph Editor Keys menu, select
Remove Key >
Ripple Delete >
to open the options window.
- In the options window you have the option to set a key at the deletion point.
To delete only unsnapped keys (subframes)
These steps let you remove subframes (keys that are not snapped to a whole frame) without deleting associated full (snapped) keyframes.
- In the
Graph Editor Keys menu, select
>
to open the
Remove Unsnapped Keys options.
- In the
Remove Unsnapped Keys options set a range for the deletion. You can also choose
All to remove every subframe.
