Shrinkwrap toward an inner object

Shrinkwrapping toward an inner object controls the projection direction for each vertex on your wrapper object, giving you greater control over the deformation result.

To shrinkwrap toward an inner object

  1. In your scene, select a wrapper object, and then Shift-select a target object.
  2. Select Deform > (Create) Shrinkwrap > .
  3. In the Create Shrinkwrap Options window that appears, select Toward Inner Object from the Projection drop-down list.
  4. (Optional) Set other creation options. See Shrinkwrap Options.
  5. Click Create.

A shrinkwrap node is created and the wrapper shrinkwraps toward the target.

  6. In your scene, select the inner object and move it inside the target.
Note: The inner object must have the same number of vertices as the wrapper, because each point on the wrapper is projected toward the corresponding vertex on the inner object. To create an inner object, duplicate the wrapper object, scale the duplicate down, and the move it inside the target.
  7. Select the wrapper object, and then Shift-select the inner object.
  8. Select Deform > (Edit) Shrinkwrap > Set Inner Object.

The inner object is set and the wrapper object is projected toward it.
