The following unsupported texture types in Viewport 2.0 are baked internally:
These shaders are supported as
baked:
-
Brownian
-
Cloud
-
Crater
-
Granite
-
Leather
-
Marble
-
Rock
-
Solid Fractal
-
Stucco
-
Volume Noise
-
Water
-
Wood
- 3D procedural bump mapping
To increase performance and avoid long baking times for these textures, decrease their bake resolution.
To increase the quality of your baked textures in your render, increase their bake resolution.
To modify the resolution of these internally baked textures:
- From the panel menus, select
Renderer > Viewport 2.0 >
.
- In the Hardware Renderer 2.0 Settings, expand the
Bake Resolution for Unsupported Texture Types heading (under
Performance).
- Modify the
Color Textures value. For example, increase it to 2048 to render your textures with a higher quality; or, decrease it to 32 to increase performance.
- Click
Rebake All Textures to see the effect of the change.
Note: Performance can be slower with baked textures, depending on the bake resolution. In addition, your baked textures may render with low quality if the baked resolution is set too low.
