The Reference Editor toolbar contains shortcuts to frequently used items that exist within the Reference Editor menus.
Create Reference |
Imports the contents of a scene into your currently open scene without importing the files into the scene. See File > Create Reference. -clicking this button displays the Reference Options menu. This menu is also located at File > Create Reference > in the Reference Editor. |

Remove Reference | Removes the currently selected reference from the scene. | |
Duplicate Reference |
Duplicates the currently selected reference. See Duplicate file references. |

Select File Contents |
Selects all items in the selected reference file. SeeSelect the contents of a file reference. |

Reload Reference File |
Updates the selected reference. This is useful when the reference file is being edited simultaneously. See Load and unload file references. |

Unload Reference File |
Unloads the selected reference. See Load and unload file references. |

Add Proxy Reference File |
Adds a proxy reference to the currently selected file reference. -clicking this button brings up the Proxy Options menu. This menu is also located at Proxy > Add Proxy > in the Reference Editor. |

Display Only File List |
Displays a list of the references in the current scene in the Reference Editor. |

Display File List and Outliner Display |
Displays a list of the references in the current scene and the Outliner in the Reference Editor. |

Display File List, Outliner, and Viewport Display |
Displays a list of the references in the current scene, the Outliner, and the Viewport in the Reference Editor. |
