If you have a number of file references in a scene, you can choose which ones to display in the Reference Editor by using the editor's View options and reference view sets. Reference view sets are bookmarks that display a specific subset of the references in the current scene.
Using the Reference Editor View options you can:
- View selected reference
- View all references
- Create reference view sets
- Toggle between views and reference view sets
Tip:
The View menu items are also available from the context-sensitive menu in the Reference Editor. To display this menu, select and -click a file reference, and then select a menu item.
Create and edit reference view sets
To create a reference view set
- In the Reference Editor, select the references you want to add to the reference set.
- Select View > View Selected References.
Only the selected references display in the
References Editor, and new reference view (referenceViewSet1) is listed in the
View menu. Use this bookmark to toggle between current view and other reference view sets.
Note: By default, reference view sets are named referenceViewSet, and are numbered sequentially.
To rename a Reference View Set
- In the View menu of the Reference Editor, select the option box () next to the Reference View Set you want to rename.
The Edit Reference View Set window appears.
- Type a new name for the Reference View Set and click Rename.
To delete a Reference View Set
- In the View menu of the Reference Editor, select the option box next to the Reference View Set you want to delete.
The Edit Reference View Set window appears.
- Click Delete.
Tip:
The View menu items are also available from the context-sensitive menu in the Reference Editor. To display this menu, select a file reference and right-click the item.
