Manage Product Hierarchies
Note:
For users with Fusion connected sites, references to the 'Items' workspace should be the 'Components' workspace.
Products and related checklists can be managed on their own, without any hierarchy. However, this template also provides the capability to define a hierarchy of Products to better manage complex product portfolios. This involves management of the following optional levels:
- Product Lines: Products can be related to one Product Line directly from within the Products’ details pages
- Product Categories: Product Lines can be related to one Product Category from within their details page. Products that get assigned to the given Product Line will automatically be related to this Product Category as well
- Product Portfolios: Sets of products across multiple lines and categories can be defined with these records. Products can be related to multiple Product Portfolios within the Products’ details pages to track their progression from different perspectives.
Both Product Lines and Product Categories enable to manage information required by product catalogs that may receive information from these workspaces (e.g. images and marketing text).
