Quick create a managed item

Create a new item in a revisioning workspace and link it to an open item using Quick Create in. The new item becomes the managing item, and the original item appears in its Affected Items tab.

Note: Quick Create in is available only if your administrator has configured at least one revisioning workspace.
  1. Open the item you want to link to a revisioning workspace.

  2. In the item header, click the More menu (More menu icon).

  3. Select Quick Create in.

    The Quick Create in dialog opens.

  4. Select a revisioning workspace.

  5. Click Next.

  6. Enter the required information for the new item.

  7. Save the new item using one of the following options:

    • Save & Manage: Creates and links the item, then prompts you for additional management information.
    • Save & View: Creates and links the item, then opens it.
    • Save & Close: Creates and links the item, then returns you to the original item.

The new item is created in the revisioning workspace and linked to your original item.
