Set up the Preconstruction Bundle

Note:

To access Forma Estimate, your company must have the Forma for Preconstruction Bundle subscription. This subscription includes licenses to Forma Takeoff, Forma Estimate, Forma Data Management, BuildingConnected Pro, BidBoard Pro, TradeTapp, and ProEst. For more information about subscribing to the Forma for Preconstruction Bundle, contact your hub representative.

In hubs with the Forma for Preconstruction Bundle, a hub administrator must assign users to a Preconstruction license.

To assign a user to a Preconstruction license:

Hub administrators can navigate to Hub Admin in Autodesk Forma or manage.autodesk.com to assign licenses to hub members.

  1. Click Members in the left navigation menu of Hub Admin to open the Hub members page.

  2. Click a member to open the product access panel.

  3. Under Member subscription, assign users to the Preconstruction license using the drop-down selector.

    Note: You can also assign any combination of individual product licenses that are part of the Forma for Preconstruction Bundle to users, but only the Preconstruction license will enable Forma Estimate.

Once the Preconstruction license is assigned to yourself or specific users, the new Estimate tool will appear alongside Takeoff in the Preconstruction left navigation menu for those users.

Note:

If you’re invited to a project created by a hub that is not subscribed to the Forma for Preconstruction Bundle, you will not be able to use Estimate with that project, even if you have a Preconstruction license for another hub.
