Optimize System Performance

To optimize system performance, you can modify the following information in the Properties Panel:

• State of boundary nodes (Open or Closed)
• Boundary conditions
• Definition type
• Pipe and duct parameters:
  • Pipe diameter
  • Duct width and height
  • Material of pipes and ducts
  • Material wall roughness.
• Operating fluid.

To modify material wall roughness:

1. In Properties Panel, next to the Material list, click .
2. In the Material Wall Roughness dialog, enter wall roughness.
   Note: The wall roughness applies to all pipes and ducts made of the same material.

Update Information in the Revit Project

If you want to keep optimized parameters of the system, update the information in the Revit project.

Update parameters of pipes and ducts in Revit in the Mechanical Settings dialog. To access it, click Manage Settings MEP Settings and select Mechanical Settings.
