Add, Modify, and Delete Load Cases

To add a Load Case

  1. Click Loads Load Cases and Combinations Define Cases.
    Note: The Load Cases dialog contains a self-weight load case. It is added automatically when you create a project. Use it to apply a self-weight load to the model.
  2. In the Load Cases dialog, in the first cell of the row, click + to add a load case.
  3. In the Case name column, click the cell and modify an automatic name of the load case.
  4. In the Nature column, click the cell and from the list, select a nature of the load: dead, live, wind, snow, accidental, or seismic.
  5. If applicable, select a subnature for a load case.

    Subnatures are available only for some of the load natures, and depend on the codes.

  6. A new load case is defined.

To Modify a Load Case

  1. Click Loads Load Cases and Combinations Define Cases.

    The Load Cases dialog opens.

  2. In the row containing a load case to modify, click the cell and modify its content.

    You can modify a name, nature, and subnature. The label is updated automatically, after you modify a nature.

To Delete a Load Case

  1. Click Loads Load Cases and Combinations Define Cases.

    The Load Cases dialog opens.

  2. In the row containing a load case to delete, click in the first cell.

    The row is highlighted.

  3. Click Delete.
