Edit and Assign Releases

To Assign a Release Using the Direct Mode

1. Click Model Attributes Releases.
2. Ensure that the Direct assignment mode is selected.
3. In the Release panel, select a release, or select Add New to create a new one.

   Optionally, click if you want to edit the current release properties.

4. In the drawing area, click to select a column, beam, or bar.

   You can select one linear element at a time.

The release is assigned to both nodes of a linear element.

To Assign a Release Using the Selection Mode

1. Click Model Attributes Releases.
2. Select the Selection assignment mode.
3. In the drawing area, select elements.
4. In the Release panel, select a release, or select Add New to create a new one.

   Optionally, click if you want to edit the current release properties.

The section is assigned to both nodes of linear elements in your selection.

Note: If you can change the assignment mode from Selection to Direct, it cancels your selection in the drawing area.
