Contours are useful to create structural elements such as floors or panels.
Draw a Contour with Segments
- Click Model
Structural elements, and then select Floor or Panel.
- In the Mode panel, click
Segment.
- Click in the drawing area to specify the start point of the contour.
- Specify additional segments as needed.
- Click the start point again to close the contour.
Draw a Contour with an Arc by specifying three points
- Click Model
Structural elements, and then select Floor or Panel.
- In the Mode panel, click
Arc: begin, middle point, end.
- Click in the drawing area to specify the start point of the arc.
- Move the cursor, and then click to specify the length of the chord.
- Specify the end point of the arc.
- Click the start point again to close the contour.
Draw a Contour with a Start-End-Middle Point Arc
- Click Model
Structural elements, and then select Floor or Panel.
- In the Mode panel, click
Arc: begin, end, middle point.
- Click in the drawing area to specify the start point of the arc.
- Move the cursor, and then click to specify the endpoint of the arc.
- Move the cursor again, and then click to specify the middle point of the arc.
- Click the start point again to close the contour, and then click another point to create the counterpart of the arc.
