Sketch a Column

1. Click Model Structural Elements Column.

   The Mode and Column Properties panels display in the ribbon.

2. In the Column Properties panel:
   • Select a material for the column.
   • Select a type of section, or select Add New to create a new one.

     Optionally, click if you want to edit the current section properties.

   • Enter a height for the column.
3. In the Mode panel:
   • Select Up to set the first point clicked as the bottom of the column.
   • Select Down to set the first point clicked as the top of the column.
4. Draw the column by clicking in the drawing area.
   Note: The cursor snaps to other structural elements when you draw the column.
