Results Panel Maps Panel Maps

Panel maps show displacements, moments, and stresses on the structure. Panel maps are always displayed in a local coordinate system.

Panel Maps

Example of panel maps showing displacements in the UZ direction.

Visualization Options

Icon Name Description
Maps Maps Displays the results as color maps.
Isolines Isolines Displays the results as contour lines.
Texts Descriptions Displays the result values on the model.
Direction Defines the direction of the main local coordinate system.
  • Automatic: Uses the local coordinate system of each panel.
  • [XYZ] Global: Projects the global direction on the panel surface.
Layer Indicates the layer for which results are displayed in the drawing area.
Select a layer to display the corresponding results, or select Arbitrary and then enter a value as follows:
  • +1 corresponds to the upper layer.
  • 0 corresponds to the middle layer.
  • -1 corresponds to the lower layer.
Smoothing Levels the results by replacing each node value with the average of neighboring values.
Select a smoothing method to specify how to calculate the average results at nodes.
  • Within a Panel: Uses the finite elements results for the panel.
  • Global: Uses the finite elements results for all the panels of the model.
  • Selection: Uses the finite elements results for all the panels in the selection.
  • No: Disables the smoothing option.
Clear Clear Hides the bar diagrams on the model.
