Where are my sketches?

For Android users, if you had sketches in SketchBook Pro that are now missing, here's what you need to know and do:

How to find my files

On Android, once a sketch is created, images are found in 2 places:

• Find your My Files folder on your device. Then go to Internal storage > Autodesk > SketchBook3. Your images are there, as .tifs with layers.
• Find either your device's Gallery or your Images > SketchBookPreview folder. You will find a lower-resolution thumbnails .png version of your sketch with all layers merged into one.

The resolution of my sketch has changed. Why?

On Android, there are small, low-resolution copies of your images, used as thumbnail images for the SketchBook Pro Gallery. If you open one in SketchBook, it will look terrible, compared to your real image. These are just a copy of your image. We recommend you only use the files found in My Files > Internal storage > Autodesk > SketchBook3.

Use the Gallery Recovery tool

In the Android version 5.2.2, we added an automatic Gallery file recovery tool. Use this for SketchBook to look for missing files.
