Edit project settings

Select File > Settings > Project Settings to view and edit the following in the Property Editor.

Project Name
The name of your main project directory.
Created with Stingray
(Read only.) Lists the Stingray data format version of the project.
Project description
(Optional) Text description of the project content.
Data directory

The directory containing your project's compiled data. This is by default stored as projectname_data if you don't specify a custom data folder when creating your project.

You can update the path to use either a custom folder with compiled data for the project, or a new folder. After you specify a new folder, the editor recompiles to store the compiled data to the new data folder.
Source art directory

(Optional.) Lets you specify the location of your original art source files such as Maya or 3ds Max scenes.

This can help Stingray to resolve relative paths when you right-click in the Asset Browser and select Open Source Asset.
Default Level Template
The level automatically loaded when creating new levels.
Default Startup Level Template
The level automatically loaded when opening a project.
Create an extra root by default on asset import
This option is enabled by default, and turning it off is not recommended.
Texture template by material
Enabled by default, turn off this option to disable assigning texture compression settings on import based on materials.
Texture template by pixels
Enabled by default, turn off this option to disable assigning texture compression settings on import based on pixel inspection.
Texture template by suffix
Enabled by default, turn off this option to disable assigning texture compression settings on import based on file name suffix.
