Getting Started with Autodesk Takeoff

Key Setup Tasks

To prepare a project for quantity takeoff, project administrators must complete a few essential setup tasks:

  1. Create or select a project
  2. Add team members to the project
  3. Configure takeoff settings for the project

Join a Project as a Team Member

If a project administrator adds you as a team member to a project, you'll receive an email invitation to join. Click Go to your project in the email to accept the invitation.

  • If you have Autodesk Build enabled, accepting the invite takes you to Project Home in Build.

Clicking into a project from the Project List brings you to Takeoff Home, the overview page for Autodesk Takeoff.

  • If you do not have Autodesk Build, accepting the project invite takes you to Autodesk Docs' Files tool. You can use the product picker drop-down from Docs to navigate to Autodesk Takeoff.
