Reorder items in the BOM table

You can customize the order of items in the BOM table to arrange items according to your preferred sequence. The BOM table enables you to manually reorder items by clicking and dragging them to new positions within the table structure. This enables you to create a custom sort order that reflects your specific workflow requirements or organizational preferences.

• Any reordering performed in the web application affects only the eBOM display order and does not modify the cBOM structure, which can only be changed in the corresponding CAD software system.
• This functionality does not affect the underlying item relationships or hierarchy, only the display order in the table.
• You can only drag and drop one item at a time.
• You cannot reorder end items.
• You can reorder items under a parent item of any status.

To reorder the BOM:

1. In the BOM section of your project, load the parent item of the item you want to move in the BOM table.
2. Click and hold on the item row you want to reorder.
3. Drag the item up or down to your desired position in the table.
4. Release the mouse button to drop the item in its new position.

The item is now positioned in your desired sort order within the BOM table. Repeat for all items you want to move.
