Icons in the BOM table

The icons in Upchain provide information about the item, including: item type, drawings present, item status, warnings, and so on. Many of them have a tooltip which you can see when you hover your point over it.

Icon Type	Icon Image	Meaning
Item Type	See the page on Item Types for images.	The Item type is a form of a classification system for items. Using item types helps you organize your items based on their intended function. Each item type has its own set of attributes and behaviors, and you can configure further rules for each item type in your workflows.
Item Status		The item can be modified. This includes editing attributes in Web, associated documents, checking out its CAD and/or drawings.
		The item has been submitted to a Change Request and is waiting on the next step to happen. This could be approval by a team lead or project manager, or waiting for the release process to finish
		The item is considered finished and approved for publication to downstream business units in your organization. It is locked for editing. You must make a revision of the item to make changes.
		The item has been approved for publication to downstream business units in your organization but released outside of Upchain.
		The item should no longer be used. It is not to be manufactured or purchased. This could be because it is discontinued by a supplier or is a design that no longer conforms to industry standards.
Associated Files		The item has a 3D model file attached. It appears in the CBOM section of an item’s Document tab.
		The item has a 2D CAD drawing file attached. It appears in the DRAWING section of an item’s Document tab.
		The item has additional documents attached. They appear in the Document Categories of an item’s Document tab.
		The item has translations attached. They appear in the TRANSLATIONS section of an item’s Document tab.
Item Locks		The item is locked for editing in some way. This could be because someone else has the CAD or drawing files checked out, they have locked it for editing in Web, or it has been submitted to a Change Request.
Visualization		Visualization is generated so that you can view the model in the 3D viewer. This is useful for users who do not have CAD software.
		Visualization has not been generated for the item. This may be because the conversion has failed. In this case, you can regenerate the visualization.
		Visualization is in the process of being generated.
Compares		The item has had a comparison generated for its 3D model against another item. .
		The item has not been compared to any other items.
Warnings		The item version is not the latest item version. Hover your cursor over this icon to find out what the latest version is.
