Export a BOM structure to an Excel spreadsheet

You can export the BOM structure of assemblies, subassemblies, or an individual item to an Excel spreadsheet. The spreadsheet includes most columns shown in the BOM table including item attributes, eBOM attributes, and any additioal custom attributes. The BOM is exported to an XLSX file, which supports up to 1 million rows.

Note: The exported information is not based on how your BOM table is configured.
  1. In the project's BOM (bm-upchain-web-mceclip0-02.png) section, select the item for which you want to export its BOM.
  2. Select more actions mceclip1.png > Export > Export to Excel.
  3. Select a location on your computer to save the spreadsheet and click Save.

The item's BOM information is downloaded an XLSX file named <requestor's name>_BOM_EXPORT.

Tip: For a more tailored spreadsheet, use the Office plugin for Excel.
