Find your log files

Upchain generates log files on your local machine for Upchain for Office, Upchain CAD Connector, and Upchain CAD Importer. Log files are useful for troubleshooting and Upchain support may ask you to send these files to them.

Follow these steps to find your Upchain log files.

1. Type %appdata% in a file explorer window's locations bar.
2. Navigate to the Upchain > Upchain application > Logs folder. The folder path is similar to this: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Upchain\<Plugin type>\Logs.

The folder contains two type of log files. 'Log.txt' that contains the full log of all plugin activities and 'Error.log' that contains just the error messages. Upchain support will ask for both.
