Before refreshing the cBOM or eBOM views, you should save your files locally in your CAD program first to ensure you are viewing the most up-to-date information. Your Tenant Admin can enable a tenant property named file.save.onrefresh
to automatically save your files locally during the refresh process.
You can refresh the cBOM and eBOM views using the refresh icon ().
After clicking refresh:
The plugin status bar along the bottom of the plugin reminds you that a refresh is needed through the message: "Request Refresh: Data outdated..." This message is displayed for any structural change on an assembly, and whenever you navigate between different models and drawings within your CAD system.
Helpful Tips
You only need to refresh your plugin whenever you intend on performng an action in the cBOM or eBOM view, such as checking in or loading a drawing.
You may also find it useful to use the Item View to view specific item information as you click on different components in your CAD software.
If you are working with very large assemblies, it is quicker to use the Root Refresh function.
