Root refresh
Requirements
Before refreshing the cBOM or eBOM views, you should save your files locally in your CAD program first to ensure you are viewing the most up-to-date information. Your Tenant Admin can enable a tenant property named file.save.onrefresh
to automatically save your files locally during the refresh process.
Root refresh
To perform a Root Refresh, click the Root refresh icon (
).
After clicking root refresh:
- The opened CAD files are read and the assembly is displayed at the top of the tree with only its first level children displayed below.
- If the files have not yet been registered with Upchain, the cBOM view displays a 'Not Registered' message beside the file and the eBOM view is empty. Note that you cannot register an assembly after a root refresh because the deeper level child components would not be registered.
- If they have been registered with Upchain, then the appropriate item information is displayed in the cBOM and eBOM views but no right-click options are available for any child items.
