Download iParts
Download an iPart member item
You may download an iPart member item. You may do this individually or as part of a parent assembly. Click here to learn how to download a CAD file in read-only mode.
Note: The download window displays the cBOM and so the factory file is shown as a child of the member file regardless of which files were registered to items.
Once the download completes, the following is true:
- The iPart member file is downloaded to a sub-folder in the home folder named the same as its factory file.
- The factory file is downloaded directly to the home folder.
- Any drawings selected for download associated with the iPart member file is downloaded directly to the home folder.
Note: When opening an iPart member file, if Inventor detects that there are differences between the member file and the factory file table parameters, then Upchain automatically checks out the member file as long as:
- The member file is in Development.
- You have the latest factory file downloaded in your home folder, or the factory file is already checked out to you.

Once the download completes, the following is true:
- The iPart factory file is downloaded directly to the home folder.
- Any associated iPart member files are not download to the home folder.
- Any drawings selected for download associated with the iPart factory file is downloaded directly to the home folder.
