You may register a drawing to an iPart member as long as the iPart is registered to an item. Click here to learn how to register a drawing to an item.
You may register a drawing to an iPart factory item as well. You’ll need to ensure that the drawing contains at least one view of the factory file itself so that the drawing can be registered to the factory item.
The tenant properties drawing.create.pdf and drawing.create.dwg generate PDF and DWG translations of each drawing during check in.
You may also add drawing attribute codes to the drawings. In order for the codes to be converted to their respective values in the released items, your Tenant Administrator must enable the tenant properties drawing.create.dwg, drawing.create.pdf, and drawing.populate.title.block.codes. If you want to generate the released PDF from the original PDF and convert the codes directly in the PDF, you must enable the tenant property drawing.populate.original.pdf.
