Markup in Outlook
The markup feature lets you markup a currently opened MS Outlook area. The markup icon should always be displayed as clickable.
- Click the Markup icon on the Upchain ribbon. This will open the markup pop-up.
- Press the button that you want to use to mark from the markup toolbox.
- When you’re done, press Save. This will open the save your markup pop-up.
- Browse and choose where you want to save the markup and press the Save button.
The markup toolbox contains the following buttons:
- Free pen
- Box
- Circle
- Text
- Colour changer
- Eraser
- Clear all
- Width
Free pen
To use the Free Pen tool:
- Press the Free Pen button to draw any hand-drawn shape that you want.
- Click the marked area and hold the left mouse to draw any hand drawn shape.
Box
To use the Box tool:
- Press the Box button to add a rectangle.
- Click the marked area and hold the left mouse button to create a rectangular area of your desired size.
Circle
To use the Circle tool:
- Press the Circle button to add a circle.
- Click the marked area and hold your left mouse button to create a circular are of your desired size.
Text
To use the Text tool:
- Press the Text button to add text. This will open a blank text box. The font name list and style are at the top right corner of the markup toolbox.
- Choose the font name that you want to use from the drop-down list.
- Choose the font style that you want to use from the drop-down list.
- Enter text into the text box.
- Click somewhere on the marked area to add text.
Colour changer
To use the Color Changer tool:
- Press the color changer button. This will open the Color pop-up.
- Choose the color that you want to use for marking.
- When you’re done, press the OK button.
Eraser
To use the Eraser tool:
- Press the Eraser button to remove shapes that you have drawn with the free pen tool.
- Click the marked area and hold the left mouse button to remove shapes.
Clear all
To use the Clear all tool:
- Press the Clear button to remove all shapes and text that you have added on the marked area.
Width
To use the Width tool:
- Press the width button on the markup toolbox. This will open the drop-down list.
- Choose the width that you want to use from the opened list before you start adding text or shapes.
