Close or archive a project

When a project is considered finished, you may move it to a status of Closed or Archived to put it into a read-only state. The Closed and Archived states are functionally identical - in both cases, you may not create or modify BOM items, business processes, project management activities, or documents. The project workflow used to manage the project's lifecycle as configured by your Tenant Administrator determines whether the project may be re-opened after it has been closed or archived.

Before you begin

Close or archive a project

An active project may be closed or archived at any time.

  1. Open the Project settings project settings page.
  2. In the Project Workflow section, click Close Project or Archive Project.

The project is now closed/archived and placed into a read-only state.

Reopen a closed or archived project

  1. Open the Project settings project settings page.
  2. In the Project Workflow section, click Reopen Project.
Note: Click Finish Workflow to end the workflow and permanently lock the project into a read-only state.
