Upgrade the CAD plugin

You may download the latest CAD plugin version 24.2.0.0028 from the plugins page immediately following the maintenance window. Upchain web 24.2.0.1350 is backward compatible with CAD plugin versions 22.2 and higher.

• Fixed an issue where some dialog boxes would be empty.

• Fixed an issue where the Create items and Check in functions were failing due to an incompatibility with the Inventor Vault Add-In sharing the same third party library.

• Fixed an issue where quantity columns, for numbers over 10, showed values in scientific notation rather than a standard format on a change notice.

Plugins

CAD

• The Documents tab is now hidden for all items viewed in the My Workspace > My Assignments view since documents cannot be attached to the tasks shown in this view.
• Picklists for Shape and Material are now sorted alphanumerically in the CAD plugin.

INVENTOR

• Fixed an issue where generating the stale report in Inventor would result in an error.

SOLIDWORKS

• Improved the rollback operation upon check in failure in the SOLIDWORKS plugin. Handling files used by another process should no longer be an issue.
• Fixed an issue where a project's members could not see the project in the SOLIDWORKS plugin when added as part of a Team. The project was only available when they were added to the project separately.

Interface

• Added a tooltip when you hover your cursor over a non-empty Move Qty column in a change notice (CN). The tooltip explains which type of move was done: Revision or Location move.

• Fixed an issue where the item status on a CN was truncated (i.e. "Released_External"). Item status should now be fully visible.

• The following CN statuses' text has been unified in the CN dashboard, CN details pane, and CN header:

  • Approval Pending (previously it showed as "Pending" in the CN dashboard and CN header).

• The following CN statuses' colors have been unified in the CN dashboard, CN details pane, and CN header:

  • JDE Import (from blue green to green)
  • Released to ERP (from grey to green)
  • Design Lead Accepted (from grey to yellow)

• Added a horizontal scrollbar to the Bulk Export window (both eBOM and cBOM views) to improve visibility on full width of the table for smaller resolution screens.

• Fixed an issue with opening a project after toggling the Upchain theme.

• You are now able to view the newly branded item type icons in the Quick search when the Upchain theme is toggled.

Administration

• Improved the warning message when creating a manufacturer when a manufacturer with an identical name already exists. The warning message now indicates which status that manufacturer has.
• Introduced a new tenant property hoops.conversions.import.hidden.objects that enables you to use the "import hidden objects" option when generating visualizations in your tenant.
• Introduced a checkbox on the Users page of Administration named "Show deactivated" to include users who have been deactivated in the table.
• You are now prevented from changing permissions to any value different from the one that is currently set while editing tenant properties in Administration.

API

• Introduced changes to the API endpoints /api/user/v2/users, /api/user/v2/users/licences/count, and /api/user/v2/users/export to include the changes related to showing and fetching deactivated users.

General

• Improved handling of obsolete items. The Download window now ignores obsolete items when an item has been made obsolete through API.
• Fixed an issue where the BOM table in the web would display the option to replace an item with an obsolete version. Obsolete versions are now ignored when checking if newer item versions exists.
• Improved the deployment process for specific situations ensuring more stability.
• Fixed the issue causing some items to be missing their visualization and STEP/PNG/STL files.
• Fixed an issue where the 3D model compare could not be opened after sending the item to a change request (CR) after release.
• Fixed an issue where items were not being released due to errors while updating the title block.
• Fixed an issue on the Date selector when using the "Years Forward" and "Years Rewind" buttons past the year 2020.
• Now when item.attribute.uppercase is enabled, the Bulk Revision Note function inserts uppercase values for each row in a CR.
• Introduced a change to eBOM reports. Now, the column names are listed as "N/A" instead of "null" if there is no data.
