You can customize the view in the application window. By making efficient use of properties and customizing your view, data management becomes much more tailored to your project.
Note: The main pane, change order view, and preview views are customized independently of each other. Custom settings do not apply to all panes.
Customize Fields
- Click the pane that you want to customize, and then click View > Customize View.
- In the Customize View dialog box, click Fields.
- In the Customize fields dialog box, select which fields are available to choose from.
- Frequently-used fields
- All File fields
- All Item fields
- All Change Order fields
Note: All of the above field types are available if a saved search was set to any type of object.
- Select a field from the Available fields list, and then click Add. The field is moved to the list of fields currently displayed in the view.
- To remove a field from the current view, select the field from the Show these fields in this order list, and then click Remove. The field is returned to the Available fields list.
- Change the order of the fields in the current view by selecting one from the Show these fields in this order list, and then clicking either Move Up or Move Down.
- Click OK.
Note: After choosing a field, it becomes available in the Frequently-used field drop-down list.
