Edit Property Values

Properties are listed in a table that appears in the Properties grid when a file is selected from the file list. It displays the property type and value of each property listed.

Edit Property Values

User-defined property definition settings, mappings, and category assignments can be edited. You must have administrative access to perform these tasks.

1. Click Tools > Administration.
2. In the Vault Settings dialog box Behaviors tab, click Properties.
3. In the Property Definitions dialog box, select the property definition from the list, and then click Edit.
4. From the Associations list, select one or more entities and then categories to which to assign the property. Remove any category assignment by clearing the category check box.
5. On the Settings tab, select the property setting to edit. If the value is editable, the Value field allows you to select a new value from a list or enter a value directly into the field.
6. Click OK to commit all changes and return to the Property Definitions dialog box.
