Issue:
AutoCAD products are available in many different languages.
- How can AutoCAD products be started in a different language?
- Where can the other languages be found?
Solution:
Note: Not every AutoCAD-based product has a language package available. Those products without a language packs are:
- AutoCAD (LT) for Mac
- AutoCAD Map 3D
- AutoCAD Plant 3D
- AutoCAD Raster Design
- Civil 3D
For those products, which haven't a language pack available, you have to download the product itself in the specific language from Autodesk Account. For all other AutoCAD-based products you can download a specific language pack.
There are two general starting points to running AutoCAD products in different languages. Either the necessary language pack is installed or not installed.
Follow these steps:
Language pack not installed
Download the specific language pack from Autodesk Account.
- Switch to tab "Products and Services".
- Select the specific AutoCAD-based product and click "View Details".
- Switch to tab "Language", select the wished language and start the download.
- Install it.
Language pack installed
- To start an AutoCAD product in a specific language after the respective Language Pack is installed, do the following:
- Click Windows Start button.
- Depending on the current operating system:
- Windows 10: Expand the corresponding folder entry for AutoCAD <version> - <language> and select the respective shortcut listed in it.
- Windows 11: Click All Apps and then expand the corresponding folder entry for AutoCAD <version> - <language> and select the respective shortcut listed in it.
- Create a desktop shortcut for the new language. The steps are the same as starting an AutoCAD product in a different language, but instead of clicking to start, drag and drop the entry to the desktop instead.
