Use one of the following methods to import dimension styles to the current drawing.
Design Center
Use Design Center if you want to import multiple dimension styles from another drawing or drawing template.
- Click . Find
- On the DesignCenter toolbar, click Load.
- Navigate to the drawing, or drawing template, that contains the dimension styles you want to import and click Open.
- Double-click Dimstyles on the right pane to display the individual dimension styles.
- Select the dimension styles you want to import. Multiple dimension styles can be selected by holding down the Shift or Ctrl key while selecting.
- Right-click and select Add Dimstyle(s).
The dimension styles are added to the current drawing.
Note: Dimension styles that already exist in the current drawing are not imported or updated.
Copy and Paste
Use this method to import one dimension style.
- Open the drawing that contains the dimension style.
- Select a dimension object that uses the dimension style. Insert a dimension if necessary.
- Press Ctrl+C or click . Find
- Switch to the drawing that you want to import the dimension style.
- Press Ctrl+P or click
.
Find
The dimension style is imported with the pasted dimension.
Note: Dimension overrides from the pasted dimension are not imported with the dimension style. - Delete the dimension.
